While MSS is designed as a web-hosted solution, i.e. a system hosted on
dedicated servers and accessed via high-speed data connections, we are
equally happy to install the software on your premises provided you have
a hardware infrastructure capable of supporting it. However, most small
and medium-sized centres prefer the option of a web-based system, which
shifts the burden of managing hardware and data to Equine Affairs’
own specialist support team, leaving the equestrian centre staff free
to handle the jobs they are paid to do. A few of the advantages associated

Equine Affairs uses World Leading Back Up Systems by Iron Mountain and
carries out automated 15 minute back-ups to ensure that your data is
regularly saved and stored in safe and secure off-site locations in
compliance with the Data Protection Act. Firewall-protected data servers
will ensure that your data is safe from unauthorised or malicious access
attempts. Equine Affairs is licensed under the Data Protection Act.
All sensitive data is encrypted prior to transmission.
ONGOING TECHNOLOGY UPGRADES
With a web-hosted system like ‘My Show Secretary’ there is no
software for you to install. Any upgrades to the system are fully
tested prior to being sent live and are installed 'invisibly' on our
web servers at no extra cost to you
ACTIVITY LOGGING
Our servers will automatically record details of all user activity,
useful for analysing work patterns and in investigating problems
SOFTWARE - FREE INSTALLATION
As Equine Affairs is a web-hosted application there are no associated
software installation issues. Access to the system is via the internet
(with the option for a local implementation for the larger operations
if required). Equine Affairs provides a flexible software pricing
structure to suit all sizes of Equestrian Centre.
